Towns and Cities
The majority of the
population of Shardar is located in the few communities of any size that lie
scattered around the Southlands. In recent years, the towns have been
growing in size and strength while the wilder lands have been becoming less and
less safe for people to make their homes in. In general, the further away
from a town, or the further north you go, the less safe your journey will be.
Merchants and traders who are forced
to travel between the towns do so with great trepidation and large numbers of
armed guards. This, is nothing else, should give the the adventurous
traveller a clue as to what conditions they are likely to meet.
