Magic Armour is a defensive Spell that will provide protection against
physical attacks. When Cast, the
Spell will envelop any person that the Mage touches with a glowing aura which
will quickly vanish into the target of the Spell.
This aura will give some protection against physical attacks, such as
fists, swords or arrows.
Magic
Armour is no defence against Magical Spells of any kind, other than the ones
which conjure up a physical object, i.e. Metal Bolt or Magic Weapon.
At lower levels, the Spell will provide minimal protection, roughly
equivalent to leather armour, but at higher levels it provides much better
protection, equal to plate armour or even better.
Magic
Armour is not stackable, the Casting Mage can Cast as many duplicates of the
Spell as they desire but this will not increase the protection given.
The Spell does not have to be used upon the Casting Mage, they can cast
it on another person, animal or even object if they so wished.
Felix dived to the side as the scimitar swung through the air, just
missing the back of his neck. The
Mage looked up at the creature that was stalking him and gulped down the fear
that rose in his throat. His
opponent was at least 8ft tall and seemed to be made entirely of flames.
Up to now, no Spell that the Mage had Cast had had any effect on this
monster and Felix was rapidly running out of choices.
Once
again, the huge, curved sword swung downwards but this time the Mage wasn’t
fast enough to get out of the way. The
razor sharp edge of the sword cut across Felix’s upper arm but it bounced off
the Magic Armour that Felix had Cast earlier.
Magical sparks flew as the hard metal edge of the sword collided with the
strong Magical field that protected the Mage.
The
strength of the blow staggered the Mage but there was no mark on his arm, the
Armour had done it’s work well. Again
and again, the fire monster swung at the Mage and each time, Felix took more of
a battering. He knew that he
couldn’t keep this up for much longer but what could he do?
Despair
swept over him as the fire creature raised its scimitar and advanced on the
exhausted Mage.
