Scry

           The Scry Spell is available only through Matrix and the University.  This Spell allows the casting Mage to contact one person that they know, no matter what the distance, and to talk to them for up to one minute.
        At this level, the person that is contacted cannot communicate with the Mage in any fashion and all they will hear is a voice in their head.  At higher levels, this Spell allows the communication to be two away and to last for longer.  At the highest levels, a visual image will accompany the voice and both caster and receiver will be able to watch as well as hear the person they are talking to.
        If the person that the Mage wishes to contact is asleep, or otherwise unable to hear the Mage, then the Spell is wasted.  The casting Mage will initially have no way of knowing if the Spell was received or not, or if the receiver is acting upon any instructions given.

 Ailise was sitting at the kitchen table, breaking her fast, when she heard a voice in her head.
        “Ailise, it’s me,” the voice said.  “I’m in serious trouble and I need your help.  I need 400 Gold Falcons to pay the fine that Baron Weston gave me.  He says I broke some town law or something and if I don’t pay up he’ll throw me in the cells.  If you could bring the money to where we used to hang out, someone will be there to collect it.  Thanks Ailise, I really appreciate this.”
        The voice faded away and for a full 10 minutes Ailise sat at the table, thinking about what she had just heard.  She would have gladly helped out a friend but there was just one problem, she was damned is she recognised the voice.  She knew it from somewhere but she had no idea who it belonged to.
        ‘Oh well,’ thought Ailise.  ‘It’ll come to me.  Probably.’
