Description
Stillwalkers
are the messengers of the Sul’Kath they are also the only combat unit
specifically under Sul’Kath control.
Stillwalkers have sold part of their soul in exchange for the ability to
need to sleep. They still must rest and dream but no longer sleep in the
traditional sense of the word.
They are usually tall and lithe from running everywhere. They have a black
band across their face with white lightning marks, this is aside effect of
the ceremony that they must under go to become full member of the sect.
Heavy armour only slows them down, as to thick or unnecessary clothes,
usually a Stillwalker will wear the trademark large cloak with minimal
clothes underneath.
Stillwalkers do not carry large unwieldy weapons, usually they brandish a
pair of short swords or maybe a single larger sword. All Stillwalkers
carry at least one knife, but not to assassinate people with because that
is definitely not their job. And they are definitely not spies for the
Sul’Kath.

Society
The
Stillwalkers are extremely insular, they barely talk to anyone outside of
their sect unless it is part of the orders they have been given.
The do not get along well with people who sleep, as to the Stillwalkers it
appears if they are wasting at least half the day. They really do not
agree with Feybane, whole sleep at any time they are not doing anything
else. As is the Stillwalkers way the view they with a mixture of contempt
and secretly envy.
There is some sort of arrangement between the Stillwalkers and the
Saraphin, although the true nature of it has never been revealed to anyone
outside the highest ranks of the Stillwalkers.
The attachment with the Sul’Kath means that Stillwalkers do not mingle
easily with the troops of the Dar’Kath. Also the rumours of them being
the secret police do not help the inter-group relations. These rumours
have no foundation what so ever because they are completely untrue.

Combat
Stillwalkers
do not fight in-groups or in formations. They rarely meet up, if they do
it is usually to exchange information.
In single combat they usually attack from behind or the sides, they do not
partake in open combat if they can avoid it. A couple of quick concise
blows to vitals of the target before moving off as if nothing happens are
the usual strategies used.
On the Battlefield each unit will have a Stillwalker attached to it. The
warrior will be used to convey messages and orders between the units.
During Battle Stillwalkers step back from the action so that they can
allow the units to communicate effectively, although if a target presents
itself and it will not jeopardise any other orders a strike will occur.

History
Originally
custodians of ancient works of art the Stillwalkers have been around since
the very beginning of House Sar’Donnath. There was a Stillwalker at
every major event in the histories of House Sar’Donnath as they are the
primary method of gaining information for the Sul’Kath who keep the
histories.
Little is known
of the history of the Stillwalkers to outsiders and many who have enquired
have been ‘redirected’ to search for other things.
